Corporate Social Responsibility
We want to augment our impact on health by giving back to the community.
We believe that improving healthcare extends beyond enabling access to our innovative technology. Based in Clydebank, we want to give back to the community surrounding us.
We had our first corporate social responsibility (CSR) volunteering day in October 2019, where we helped Glasgow Starter Packs who are providing support to individuals and families suffering from poverty and recent homelessness. Through the course of this day, BioClavis staff helped the Govan-based charity to look through donations and sort these into packs to suit various needs, whether that’s children's clothing or toys, bedding or other household supplies.
Due to COVID-19 we were unable to help the Govan Community Project as planned in 2020, however we hope that we will be able to resume activities such as these in 2021. We will be continue to host various events to support local charities (such as the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity), including raffles and bake-offs. For Christmas 2020, this will be by supporting the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity Giving Tree, which allows our staff to give gifts such as secret Santa or more serious items, such as bereavement counselling. We are also collecting food donations for the Crookston Community Group Charity.
In addition to joint group efforts, several of our employees donate their spare time for a good cause, such as volunteering at the hospital and Kilt Walks.
